Wordless Wednesday Wellies

Often referred to as “Wellies,” Wellington boots are tall, waterproof boots that are made from rubber or PVC.

Simply called “rain boots” in some parts of the world, Wellington-styled boots are a popular footwear option for men, women and kids, and they’re available in nearly any color or pattern one could imagine.

Wellies are worn in wet, muddy, and sometimes snowy conditions by anyone who wants to protect their feet and lower pants from the elements.

Always wore my “wellies” in those English winters as a child… nobody had ever heard of them when we first came to the US.

  2. We call them gum boots in Australia 😊😊
